Razor Edge Intercultural Communication

La descrizione di questo Workshop è disponibile solo in Inglese. Tutte le attività del Workshop si svolgono in Inglese ed i partecipanti leggono, scrivono e parlano Inglese con discreta facilità.

From surviving to thriving in high stake, culturally diverse work collaborations and negotiations.

More and more people in senior positions within society and business have developed the competency to work effectively in English.

However, language skills alone do not prepare us for working in one-off or ongoing work situations characterized by diverse cultures, customs, assumptions, languages and histories.

Such diversity increases the number of filters being used by each person to interpret the unfolding complex ‘reality’ in which you and they are immersed.

It influences choices about what to say and do next; the whys, the whats, the hows and the intentions of such choices.

And then, if these judgments are misplaced, what do you do when tensions arise, conflict threatens, and important relationships start breaking down?

This programme is  for senior managers and professionals who are good English speakers but want to improve their performance when being stretched to the limits of their linguistic and cross cultural competency in  actual situations being faced at what we call ‘the razor edge .

Using an innovative co-inquiry approach, you will be able to work in depth with whatever challenges your interpret as being “razor edge” in your own context, either anticipated or currently being experienced.

As we embody, enact and open up multiple perspectives on your situation you will be helped  to:

  1. Think afresh about your own taken for granted assumptions, and projections, and how these support or undermine you, and others, in achieving your objectives
  2. Become more aware of the effectiveness of your own patterns of language, and cross cultural communication;
  3. Review the unintended effects of the above,  on others, and the outcomes you want ot achieve.

Razor Edge Intercultural Communication is being offered as either a two day or a three day program. The latter provides a more intense experience in groups limited to 8, with dedicated individual feedback and 1-1 learning reviews.
